His grace abounds in deepest waters…
We’ve come to the end of Job’s story, named after a man, but not about the man. Like every other story, this was a story about our God and His amazing grace. Perhaps the greatest grace in this account is found, not at the last, when God blesses the end of Job’s life even more than the beginning, but rather when God reveals Himself to Job, and Job finally sees Him as He truly is: everlasting love and perfect sovereignty, all wrapped up in the same relational Creator/Sustainer/Father/Friend.
And that’s our story, too—yours and mine. It is through our suffering that we most clearly see our Savior. And that’s how transformation takes place.
When He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
1 John 3:2
