Words that Wound

You’ve heard the old adage, “The preacher’s quit preaching and gone to meddling.” Well, I’m no preacher, but my thoughts on today’s passage may be considered by some to be meddlesome. Please know, I’ve been on both sides of this coin, so three fingers are indeed pointing back at myself.

Here’s the thing. We all make mistakes. We just don’t know what we don’t know. Job’s friends were very convinced that they were right! You can be sincere, and be sincerely wrong. But when we know better, we are responsible to do better. That’s growth.

Read these slides with an open heart to hear what God may be wanting to teach us through the mistakes of Job’s friends. And don’t worry; God forgave them for their arrogance and so did Job. 🩷
