Is He Worth It?

Yesterday, I sat on Jeremy’s grave and asked him to tell me how to do this without him. Of course, I didn’t expect him to answer.

But God….

Early this morning, I came across this sermon Jeremy preached ten years ago. It’s the story of our daughter and what God taught us through her death. Ten years ago, Jeremy spoke the very words I would need to hear in order to press on after his own death in 2021.

•Nothing I can give is worthy to be compared with what the Father has already given to me.

•Nothing I endure is worthy to be compared to what lies in store for me.

•Nothing can separate me from God’s love.

•God reveals Himself through our suffering.

•He is worth it.

“Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.”
Philip Yancey

Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little.
1 Peter 5:10
